IDo-FinalSAN DIEGO, CA – When Chase Kosterlitz and Sarah Byrne became engaged last fall, they turned to the Internet for advice on how best to prepare for their upcoming wedding. But they weren’t interested in choosing colors or cake. They wanted advice on how to nurture their relationship before and after they say “I do.”

The young couple couldn’t find anything online, so after several months of researching, the entrepreneurs embarked on a unique business adventure and introduced a modern version of relationship counseling.

“We love listening to podcasts, so we began searching for a relationship advice podcast for young couples. There was nothing out there, so we decided to create our own,” said Sarah, 28, an online marketing consultant.

On March 13, the I Do Podcast debuted to listeners around the world. Dr. Margaret Paul of Inner Bonding® shared relationship advice on loving yourself to improve your relationship. “We were so nervous when we recorded that first podcast,” said Chase. “Our 30-minute interview didn’t even last 20 minutes. Since then, we’ve really been able to relax and enjoy the shows.”

Twice a week, Chase and Sarah talk with today’s most successful and inspiring relationship experts, therapists and couples. Their podcast features all types of advice to help couples of all ages build a lasting and long relationship. Guests share daily tips to improve marriages, provide resources, such as books and websites, and, sometimes, share some humor to lighten an oftentimes serious subject.

“Interviewing these amazing guests has really helped our relationship bloom even more,” Sarah said.

Some of the guests on the show so far include Dr. Pepper Schwartz, a sex and relationship expert from Seattle; Dr. Greg Cason from Bravo TV’s hit show LA Shrinks; Adam Bornstein, an award-winning fitness and nutrition editor and creator of Born Fitness; and the Rev. Laurie Sue Brockway, one of New York’s top interfaith officiates.

“So, as you can see,” Sarah said, “We cover it all from how much sex a couple should have to the complexities of an interfaith marriage.”

IDoPodcast_ArtworkThe couple, who live in Southern California, says the bi-weekly audio podcast gives listeners great advice on how to improve their relationship and fun ways to keep the spark alive. “As a young couple ourselves, we know how important it is to always continue to work on your relationship,” said Chase, 27, a professional paddle boarder and business owner.

Not only can the podcast benefit couples before they have relationship issues, but it also can be a less expensive alternative to couple’s therapy. If a listener is having an issue with a partner or spouse, he/she can search the podcast archives to see if a similar topic has been addressed in a past episode.

The couple says what started out as a simple mission – searching the web for relationship advice – has turned into an exciting business and an opportunity to grow more deeply in love. But they won’t be asking experts any questions on October 26. They’ll be talking to each other as they exchange their vows.
