Tips for Engaged Couples or Newlyweds
Prepare for the inevitable. At some point you will get out of the honeymoon phase, and your partner may do things that disappoint or bother you. The way to continue to foster your love is to do the many things we talked about in the interview. (Turn towards each other. Talk about talking. Share your disappointments rather than keeping them inside. Avoid being over critical and find ways to share what you’re feeling rather than make judgements about your partner.) Prepare for that shift.
If You Could Give Only One Piece of Advice…
Understand that your partner wants and needs to be loved as much as you do.
