Amanda Carver is a psychotherapist who lives and works in Ottawa, Ontario. She has worked many years with adolescents and families struggling with trauma and mental health challenges. She works heavily from an attachment perspective, understanding how early relationships with our parents and other important people in our lives affects how we connect with people later in our lives. Amanda is a mother of two young children and a partner in a 13 year relationship. She now runs her own private practice.
In today’s episode we cover relationship topics that include:
- How to deal with our own, or our partner’s, insecure attachment style.
- What to do if you or your partner has a low self-esteem.
- How to work on changing your attachment style to a secure attachment.
- Creating habits as a couple that will help the an insecure partner feel secure.
- How to improve your self-esteem to make your relationship better.
- And much more!
